SUO Challenge 109, Thanks: Our Top 3!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our challenge to feature a card with a Thank You or Thanksgiving Theme. "Thanks" especially to our Top 3 whom we felt did the best job of capturing our theme for the week!  Click on the pictures of their projects to go to their blogs or galleries for more details.

Jodi McKinney.  We loved the neutral colors in this delightfully vintage collage. Jodi's shading and stamping made this card just gorgeous.

Heidi Weaver. We lvoe the picture frame and all the bright colors that the darker neutral background show off so well.  The say that Heidi scrunched up her leaves to mimic those in a pumpkin patch was delightful.

Cindy Brumbaugh.  The turquoise looks so perfect and just makes the leaves pop in this beautiful Clean and Simple card.  We liked that Cindy not only referred to the original card which she CASEd, but also included a photo of it on her blog.  Nice touch!

SUO Challenge #109: Thanks!

Those of us in the United States are looking forward to our November Thanksgiving Holiday.  Those of us in Canada have already celebrated our annual Thanksgiving.  And everywhere else, we are getting ready for holidays full of gifts, and Thank You notes are part of the season.

Your challenge for this SUO Challenge is to make a Thank You or Thanksgiving Seasonal card – using Stampin' Up! products only, of course!.  Once you have your project done, post a photograph of it on your blog or in any other open online gallery, and then add a link to our Link Tool at the bottom of this post.

Need some ideas to get your creativity started?  Then check out our Design Team projects – and have fun with you own project!

To participate in our challenge, make a card or other paper-crafted project and post a photo of it to your blog or a gallery on the internet.  Then come back here and use our link tool at the bottom of this post to share the photo with us.

PLEASE remember this:  We’re looking for projects posted to the internet AFTER November 3, 2014.  This is a NEW challenge!  AND please mention/link to the SUO Challenge Blog in your post!

And, of course, your projects should be made with Stampin’ Up! products only.    The products may be those that are in current catalogs, or they may be retired products.  But (as our blog title says) SUO – Stampin’ Up! Only!  This means that products from other papercrafting, rubber stamp, die-making or other companies may not be included in your project or in any other project included in your blog post if Stampin’ Up! sells a like product.  For example, Stampin’ Up! does not sell sewing thread.  So use of sewing thread from another company is just fine.  Stampin’ Up! does sell the Sizzix Big Shot, so use of die-cuts, texture plates or other such products from another company is not fine.  If you have a question, please send an e-mail to our Coordinator, Robin Messenheimer, and she’ll be glad to answer it!

Challenge Dates:  November 4, 2014  (3 am USA Eastern Time) –

November 15, 2014 (6 am USA Eastern Time)

Lisa Walsh.  Lisa's tags with the burlap bags are gorgeous with their attention to detail. The tags are wonderfully thought out and assembled.

Vicki Burdick.  What quick and easy Halloween packaging Vicki shared with us!  All those little ghosts with their cute faces are so, well, cute!

Crystal Komara (Super Stamp Girl).  Crystal's gift ensemble would work beautifully for a girl as well as a boy.  The western theme is just delightful – very creative and so much fun!

Jodi McKinney.  Jodi's artistic use of the yellows and purples shows off this scene so realistically.  It's all so peaceful – we wish we could be there!

Cindy Brumbaugh.  What can we say but that we loved this Clean and Simple outdoor snow scene with the adorable shaker effect.

Christy S.  The acrylic block technique that Christy used is perfect for this row of trees. The fall colors add to this outdoorsy feeling beautifully.
