SUO Challenges #75 – Get Well Cards!

7 / 16 / 137 / 27 / 13

In my stash of cards, there are just as many Get Well Cards as there are Thinking of You, Thank You, and Birthday Cards!  Unfortunately people do become ill more than we'd like – but leave it to those of use who use Stampin' Up! products to make the BEST Get Well Cards around!

That's your challenge this time with our Stampin' Up! Only Challenge – to make a Get Well Card.  Our Design Team really liked this challenge, which shows in their samples that are laid out here for your inspiration.  We hope you'll join with us and enter your own Get Well Card in the challenge, using the link tool at the end of the post.

For those of you who entered our last challenge, we will post the Top 3 a bit later than we usually do because many of our Design Team members are at the Stampin' Up! Convention this week, and are unavailable for the administrative part of our challenge blog work.  But there will be a Top 3 posted – towards the end of next week when we're all back home and a bit rested from our travels!

Now here are the Design Team's Get Well Cards!

To participate in our challenge, make a card or other paper-crafted project and post a photo of it to your blog or a gallery on the internet.  Then come back here and use our link tool at the bottom of this post to share the photo with us.

PLEASE remember this:  We're looking for projects posted to the internet AFTER July 15, 2013.  This is a NEW challenge!

And, of course, your projects should be made with Stampin' Up! products only.    The products may be those that are in current catalogs, or they may be retired products.  But (as our blog title says) SUO – Stampin' Up! Only!  This means that products from other papercrafting, rubber stamp, die-making or other companies may not be included in your project or in any other project included in your blog post if Stampin' Up! sells a like product.  For example, Stampin' Up! does not sell sewing thread.  So use of sewing thread from another company is just fine.  Stampin' Up! does sell the Sizzix Big Shot, so use of die-cuts, texture plates or other such products from another company is not fine.  If you have a question, please send an e-mail to our Coordinator, Robin Messenheimer, and she'll be glad to answer it!

Challenge Dates:  July 16, 2013  (3 am USA Eastern Time) –

July 27, 2013 (6 am USA Eastern Time)

SUO Challenge #74 – Favorite Stampin’ Up! Accessories

7 / 2 / 137 / 2 / 13

Stampin' Up! not only has fabulous Rubber Stamps, beautiful inks and gorgeous papers – it also has a ton of fun accessories!  While occasionally SUO Challenges features one of these accessories in its challenges, this time we're asking you to create a project using your Favorite Accessories – no matter what or how many they are!  Punches, Sizzix, ribbons, brads – anything that you have lots of fun using in your projects are fair game in this challenge.  Of course they have to be Stampin' Up! products only, either current or retired – or both!

Our Design Team obviously had some fun with this and I hope you'll enjoy and be inspired by their projects!  The general guidelines for this challenge are at the bottom of this post and all the rules are over on the left.  As always, if you have any questions, you are welcome to e-mail our Coordinator, Robin Messenheimer.

Now here are our Design Team entires – and we're looking forward to seeing yours, too!  Just click on the link tool at the end of this post!

SUO Challenge 73, Patriotic Projects – Our Top 3!

7 / 1 / 13

What fun it was to have so many Patriotic Projects from our readers!  I was able to CASE a couple of them for my own Fourth of July cards – even the stamp featuring the Canadian Maple Leaf gave me ideas for my own cards!  I hope you had as much fun with this as all of us on the Design Team did in looking through the entries.

Of course, we consider all of those who enter our challenges winners because they're your projects and they're so creative!  But we do enjoy the challenge of looking through them all and deciding which are our favorites.  So here are our Top 3 for the Patriotic Projects challenge!

And ladies, don't forget to pick up your Top 3 Blog Code just above the "Archives" list on the left!

Libby Fens. Libby's card, with the traditional patriotic bunting has such a unique feel to it, especially with the doily used to trim the rosette.  We can just see it on porches in many communities across the USA.  Beautiful!

Melissa Davies. This is just a great box with lots of texture.  We especially like the coordinating paper bow on the top.  So elegant!

Mary Davidson.  Speaking of boxes, we loved that Mary was thinking outside of the box using a non-patriotic themed stamp to create a perfect image for the patriotic theme.  We just loved the non-traditional use of this stamp set.  What fun!

SUO Challenge #73 – Patriotic Projects!

6 / 18 / 136 / 18 / 13

For those of us in the United States, we will be celebrating our national Independence Day. the Fourth of July, just about the time that this challenge comes to an end.  But having so many of you from throughout the Stampin' Up! world – not just the United States – we wanted to make sure that this was a topic that would appeal even if there isn't a current holiday to celebrate.  I'm anxious to see entries from all over the world featuring colors and designs that you consider patriotic.

So Patriotic Projects are what we're looking for in the SU Only Challenge #73!   Of course, as always, the challenge is to make this with Stampin' Up! products only.  The rules are printed over to the left and embellished a bit at the end of this blog post.
