SUO Challenge 26, Invitation to a Party

This month SU-Only Challenges is One Year Old, so it must be time for an online party! And do we have a party for you – not only a new challenge, but two new members of our Design Team to Introduce as well as a fond farewell to one of our original members. Here's our challenge for the week – and you'll find fun information about our new members in another post.

Create an invitation to a party – any kind of party! Of course there are always birthdays and showers and graduations. But there's also the Barbecue, the beach party, the end-of-summer bash, and so much more! Hey, even Stampin' Up! Workshops are parties! The list is endless.

Favorite New Stamp Top 3

Thanks for all your entries last week! But we did have to pick our Top 3 who are:

Jackie Topa for her hobby horse that is just too darned cute and wonderfully clever. Several of us wonder where we were when the "clever" gene was doled out. We think Jackie got more of them than is fair!

Bornwyn Eastley is another designer with more than her fair share of clever genes with imaginative use of the Two Tags Sizzix die. Beautiful card!

Leslie Croghan's design, coloring and overall execution of her vintage card was just the perfect card for congratulating her mother. Just gorgeous!

We did have to disqualify a couple of entries this week. We've noticed that there have been several projects over the past few weeks that have included dies from companies that compete with Stampin' Up!'s Sizzix products. Please remember that entries for this challenge should be SU! ONLY!

SUO Challenge 24, Get Well Cards

We love to have a selection of pre-made Get Well cards on hand and ready to send. You just never know when a co-worker or family member will be ill or hospitalized. That is why this week it is "Stock up your Get Well card Stash" week! Let's make some Get Well cards so that we are prepared when one is needed! Here are the cards our design team created! We encourage you to play along! Let us see what you come up with! Just upload your creation to your blog and link it below!

SUO Challenge 21, For the Bride and Groom

June is traditionally THE month for weddings. When I was young, all of my friends wanted to be June brides and weddings came right on the heels of college graduations. I still personally think that June weddings are the most romantic, and I was thrilled when my best friend had her wedding in June not too many years ago. It was so lovely and I remember every moment of it.

And every wedding deserves lovely stationery – made with Stampin' Up! papers and inks and embellishments! Our design team members have created some beautiful and whimsical cards just for the occasion, and what fun it is to share them with you all! But cards aren't the only element of a collection of wedding stationery – think place cards, favors, guest books, memory albums!

Please join us by creating and submitting a wedding card or other paper-crafted items for your favorite bride or groom – Stampin' Up! Only, of course!

WINNERS OF OUR FATHER'S DAY CHALLENGE!

1. Sara Hoogendoorn – We all loved the layout and the beautiful monochromatic look of this card. The sponging did a wonderful job of tying the whole picture together!

2. Joan Jeffrey – This is a delightfully different way of using this stamp set. The way that you used the Jumbo Eyelet perfectdly accents the other circular elements .

3. Margaret – Your use of the pastels on this card is just stunning, as are the sponged accents on the textured layer. Love the colors!

SUO Challenge 20, Celebrate Father’s Day!

Father's Day is coming soon and our Design Team has come up with some great cards for their fathers! This challenge is all about dads and giving! Some themes we've come up with are maritime, air travel, and nature. But there are many more creative ideas out there for fathers! Please join in with us for the Father's Day challenge and submit a project for your father!

The SUOChallenges was started by Cindy Coutts. Cindy has resigned her position on the Design Team for SUOChallenges due to her increased focus on her Christian Paper Crafts (CPC) community. We have been so lucky to have such a talented and dedicated designer in Cindy and she will be greatly missed.
