SUO Challenge #112 – Merry and Happy!

Christmas, Hannukah and other winter holidays are oh so close! And many of us are undertaking our last minute card and gift making. Your challenge for this SUO Challenge is to make a project that includes something that conveys the season greetings of Merry or Happy (and the words are not necessary!). Once you have your project done, post a photograph of it on your blog or in any other open online gallery, and then add a link to our Link Tool at the bottom of this post.

To participate in our challenge, make a card or other paper-crafted project and post a photo of it to your blog or a gallery on the internet. Then come back here and use our link tool at the bottom of this post to share the photo with us.

PLEASE remember this: We’re looking for projects posted to the internet AFTER December 15, 2014. This is a NEW challenge! AND please mention/link to the SUO Challenge Blog in your post!

And, of course, your projects should be made with Stampin’ Up! products only. The products may be those that are in current catalogs, or they may be retired products. But (as our blog title says) SUO – Stampin’ Up! Only! This means that products from other papercrafting, rubber stamp, die-making or other companies may not be included in your project or in any other project included in your blog post if Stampin’ Up! sells a like product. For example, Stampin’ Up! does not sell sewing thread. So use of sewing thread from another company is just fine. Stampin’ Up! does sell the Sizzix Big Shot, so use of die-cuts, texture plates or other such products from another company is not fine. SUO Challenge 111, Tag You’re It – Our Top 3!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our challenge to feature a project using some kind of Stampin' Up! Tag. Thanks especially to our Top 3 whom we felt did the best job of capturing our theme for the week! Click on the pictures of their projects to go to their blogs or galleries for more details.

Jenny Lane. We loved the use of the Holiday Home on the Winter Scene on this tag. The details are darling and so very festive in this beautifully laid out design.

Leanne Johnson. This monochromatic card with the animals goes perfectly with the sentiment on the tag. We really liked the addition of the chevron design, especially included across the tag as well.

Maria Vanderform. All the colors in this tag make it so very cheerful, and the star embossing with the glitter adds beautifully to the festive look of this card.

So your challenge for this SUO Challenge is to make a project that includes a tag – using Stampin' Up! products only, of course!. The tag may be one that you'd put on a gift or otherwise use as a decoration, or a tag element in a greeting card or scrapbook page. Joanne James. What a great coloring technique Joanne showed off with her project. Embossing first with white on the dark background and then coloring in part of the images with Blendabilities creates a gorgeous design, and Joanne did it beautifully.

Jodi McKinney. What a cute winter shaker card! We would be thrilled to get this fun card in our mail boxes!

Rachel Palmieri. Rachel's coloring is so soft and pretty. What a beautiful way to personalize a milestone birthday.
