SUO Challenge #147 – Congratulations!

4 / 26 / 164 / 25 / 16

No matter the time of the year, there are always occasions for making and sending cards and gifts to celebrate an occasion or accomplishment. Your challenge this time is to make a paper-crafted project featuring a Congratulations theme.

Check out our Design Team’s projects for some great ideas. We look forward to seeing what you do with this challenge.

To participate in our challenge, make a card  or other paper-crafted project, using Stampin’ Up! products only, and post a photo of it to your blog or a gallery on the internet.  Then come back here and use our link tool at the bottom of this post to share the photo with us. If you are linking to a blog, please link to the specific post that contains your project.

Congrats

PLEASE remember this:  We’re looking for projects posted to the internet AFTER April 25, 2016.  This is a NEW challenge!  AND please mention/link to the SUO Challenge Blog in your post!   We’d really like it if you’d mention us early in your blog post!

Of course, your projects must be made with Stampin’ Up! products only.    The products may be those that are in current catalogs, or they may be retired products.  But (as our blog title says) SUO – Stampin’ Up! Only!  This means that products from other papercrafting, rubber stamp, die-making or other companies may not be included in your project or in any other project included in your blog post if Stampin’ Up! sells a like product.  For example, Stampin’ Up! does not sell sewing thread.  So use of sewing thread from another company is just fine.  Stampin’ Up! does sell the Sizzix Big Shot, so use of die-cuts, texture plates or other such products from another company is not fine.  If you have a question, please send an e-mail to our Coordinator, Robin Messenheimer, and she’ll be glad to answer it!

Challenge Dates:  April 26, 2016  (3 am USA Eastern Time) –
May 7, 2016 (6 am USA Eastern Time)

SUO Challenge #73 – Patriotic Projects!

6 / 18 / 136 / 18 / 13

For those of us in the United States, we will be celebrating our national Independence Day. the Fourth of July, just about the time that this challenge comes to an end.  But having so many of you from throughout the Stampin' Up! world – not just the United States – we wanted to make sure that this was a topic that would appeal even if there isn't a current holiday to celebrate.  I'm anxious to see entries from all over the world featuring colors and designs that you consider patriotic.

So Patriotic Projects are what we're looking for in the SU Only Challenge #73!   Of course, as always, the challenge is to make this with Stampin' Up! products only.  The rules are printed over to the left and embellished a bit at the end of this blog post.

SUO Challenge 36, New Techniques for a Whole New Year!

1 / 9 / 121 / 10 / 12

If you are anything at all like me, you often find yourself using the same paper crafting techniques over and over.  My "go-to" techniques are heat embossing and 2-Step Stamping.  Many of Stampin' Up!'s stamp sets lend themselves beautifully to these two techniques.  So when the idea for today's challenge occurred to me, it wasn't hard to find a technique to use that I haven't used in a while.

What about you?  Are you a technique junkie, or do you pretty much stick with the same-ol'-same-ol' techniques?  Whichever you are, I'll bet you can point to a technique that you've never used – or that you haven't used in a long while.  That's our challenge this time around – pick a technique that's something you use infrequently – or not at all – and share it with us here at Stampin' Up! Only Challenges!

Our design team members have come up with some great examples of techniques they rarely or never use, and it's been a lot of fun for me to see what they can do with them.  One thing's for sure, though.  Even with different techniques, they each have their own style and it comes through beautifully no matter which techniques they use.  I'm sure yours will, too!

Please remember, use ONLY Stampin' Up! products and share only something that you've made in response to this challenge. For a complete list of the guidelines for the SUO Challenges, please refer to our write-up down on the left.
