SUO Challenge #85, Non-Traditional Christmas – Our Top 3!

12 / 16 / 1312 / 16 / 13

Thanks to everyone who participated in our latest challenge.  Lots of gorgeous ideas for non-traditional Christmas projects – colors and images alike! We loved them all – as usual!

Thanks especially to our Top 3 whom we felt did the best job of capturing our theme for the week!  Click on the pictures of their projects to go to their blogs or galleries for more details.

Alyson M.  The beautiful translucent pink Poinsettia is so festive, especially with the background made with My Digital Studio, and the Holly Jolly and scalloped edges picking up the background colors.  Not Christmas colors, but it's definitely a Christmas card – and a gorgeous one at that!

Amy Kunkle.  This is definitely a "Merry and Bright" card!  This is about as non-traditional as you could get, colorwise, but it, too, is unquestionably a Christmas card!

Donna Centamore (Butternut Sage).  These snow "shovels" are arranged just perfectly for this lovely Christmas scene.  The colors are traditional, but the beautifully decorated gardener's spades are certainly not – but a great card for a gardener!

SUO Challenge #84, Let It Snow! – Our Top 3!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our latest challenge.  Lots of gorgeous ideas for showing off Snow in Stampin' Up! projects. We loved them all – as usual!

Thanks especially to our Top 3 whom we felt did the best job of capturing our theme for the week!  Clip on the pictures of their projects to go to their blogs or galleries for more details.

Kez (Kerry Bunting).  We loved the sponged background – so well done! The non-
traditional image and colors are beautiful for a Christmas Card.

Gloria Steger.  This is another gorgeous scene created with wonderful layering of the stamps and shadows.  The glistening snow is a highlight!

Diane Vander Galien.  What an elegant centerpiece with the beautifully stamped candles with some extra embellishments to make the decorations 3-dimensional. The matching ornament is a perfect accent for the whole design.

SUO Challenge #83, A Favorite Sentiment – Our Top 3!

11 / 18 / 13

Thanks to everyone who participated in our latest challenge.  Great ideas for using sentiment stamps of all kinds. We loved them all – as usual!

Thanks especially to our Top 3 whom we felt did the best job of capturing our theme for the week!  Clip on the pictures of their projects to go to their blogs or galleries for more details.

Pauline (The Pursuit of Stampiness). The sentiment is THE focal point in this card.  All of the elements in this card – the bow to the left, the banners and pearly to the right, and the frame of the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper – accent the sentiment beautifully.

Susy Côté.  Susy used the chalkboard technique perfectly in this card.  We really like how the papers and the ribbon were both clipped to accent each other, and the mix of colors is so much fun!

Bonnie Klass.  The placement of the star on the textured background, accented with the matting makes this a beautiful Clean and Simple card.  The best part for this particular challenge is the placement of the word, "Noel."  You definitely cannot miss her favorite Christmas Greeting!

Don't forget to go snag the code for our Top 3 banner – over on the left – to show off on your blogs, ladies!

SUO Challenge 82, Harvest Time – Our Top 3!

11 / 4 / 1311 / 4 / 13

Thanks to everyone who participated in our latest challenge.  Fabulous projects to give us all a wide range of ideas for the season – as usual!

Thanks especially to our Top 3 whom we felt did the best job of capturing our theme for the week!

Margaret King (Margaret K). This beautiful CAS (Clean and Simple) card caught our eye with the circle with its sentiment and the lovely Crystal Effects dew drops.  The sponged leaves carry through the harvest theme as the focal point of this card.

Jennifer Kay (TX Jenny Wren).  The sponged leaves in the card create a beautiful depth to the whole picture.  And that background is just stunning in its artistry!

Paula Sievers.  Paula's stamping on her entire project is so well done.  And the card box is just the pefect accompaniment to this well-constructed project!
